Retro Speedometer Cable is a problem!, January 15, 2012 By  Thomas G. Luparello "Little Wolf" (Rohnert Park, CA USA) - See all my reviews    Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?) This review is from: RETRO SPEEDOMETER CABLE/CORE 31" (Misc.) I bought this cable for a stationary exercise bike. When the cable arrived there was no core, just the outer shield. The company then sent the core, which extends out one end about 1" due to a pressed on end and is short a comparable distance on the other end so it does not engage the speedometer or the drive unit. It is totally worthless and non functional. Not worth my trouble or the price as it money for my application. However, the company was eager to try to remedy the problem, it is just their product that apparently has limited applications and should offer an application/compatability statement/warning.
